1000 friends on Facebook
Well, I’ve been trying to get about 1000 friends on facebook. I know it’s not that much because some people actually have 4000 friends on facebook. Well, for some people it’s actually a lot. I’ve been looking at my friends’ friend count and most of them only have about 400 to 500. So if you think about 1000 friends is actually a lot. I also do not accept friend request from people who I do not know, or I have never me before. I also do not try to send a friend request to some people that I do not know or have met before. I don’t want any stranger looking at my posts or pictures. I actually want to build a real friendship with my friends online and so if I see them in real life, we would actually know each other. Facebook brings people together. Social networking also increase your connections with people. Let’s say, you need help with your homework for math, you could easily find people on your friend’s list who could possibly help you with your math homework. The more friends you have the more connections you have.
But sometimes, I feel kinda lonely. I feel so alone, even after talking to about 20 people on Instant messaging everyday. Even though, I have about 1000 friends on facebook, I still feel alone and lonely. I want something more than just these words that I read on my wall, or inbox, or IM’s or comments on my posts. I want to actually have a connection with someone physically. What I meant by that is to see friends in real life. I want to sit down with a person and actually talk to them. I want to see their facial expressions, their emotions, their smile, the sound of their voice, body movement and etc. To actually see someone and have a connection with someone in person is way better than any social networking sites. It feels great to actually spend time with someone. Those moments that you spend with someone would live on longer than the messages in your inbox. I wish I could spend time in real life with my friends. It would make me really happy. And for the 1000 friends I have on facebook, I hope that someday I would spend some time in real life with you guys too. Keep in touch, maybe someday we could be best friends in real life =]
